Climate and Temperature
Climate

Coastal temperatures range between an average high of 64 degrees and an average low of 48 degrees with extremes a rarity that the farmers and nurserymen have relied on since the early 1800s. Plants and people thrive on the balance of sun, mild temperatures, and moisture. Coastal fog is common, with our best weather "Indian summer style" from mid-August through October. It may surprise you that the coastside gets less fog than San Francisco, Marin, and Monterey. As you move inland over the skyline ridges, the temperatures increase.
